The Mother of All Start pages

In many ways the Library Catalog is the mother of all start pages. You can search for books @ Schenk, e-Books,  MMSD Video Library, websites, Encyclopedias, and even Discovery Streaming.  Using one simple search from the Library Catalog you have access to all these services.

The first thing we need to do is log on. Bxxxxxx (without the B) for your user name and last name for the password. If you have not watched it yet, view the video that introduces you to the Library Catalog and how to log on.

The second link on the left should be Destiny Quest which is what we want. There is a lot of information on the page but our focus is the search field. Lets say we searched for Animals, we would see tabs for library books, websites, and One Search. 

One Search allows us to search various informational data bases that Schenk has access to. The one I am emphasizing is Discovery Streaming. When I select One Search I can click the Discovery Streaming link for all the videos about animals. 

Since your Library Catalog and Discovery Streaming accounts are linked you can view / access the videos directly from the Library Catalog. The Library Catalog is your most important tool in accessing information and content across the district. 

Give it a try. Log on to the Library Catalog, search for a subject, and see if you can find books, web sites, and videos about that subject.
