CCC Video Streaming

Last year I had an opportunity to look at CCC Streaming. At the time I felt it would be a solid replacement for Discovery Streaming.  The content had a strong Common Core emphasis and big names such as BBC, National Geographic, PBS, and Disney behind it. While MMSD did get rid of Discovery Streaming, it felt free resources like You Tube would be sufficient for district needs.

I always felt while there is worth while content on sites like YouTube, it is no replacement for high quality educational content, based on the Common Core.    We have another opportunity to look at CCC Streaming and offer feedback to MMSD.

Every teacher in the district has access to CCC Streaming until the end of the year.  This is a great opportunity and one that should be utilized. If you value this resource you need to send in your feedback. Here is what you need to do.

  1. Go to http://video.cccvod.com Username will be your district gmail and madvideo will be your password. You may need to turn popup blocker off if you have it activated.  Watch videos, share them with students, create playlist, and develop lessons around the videos.
  2. Go to http://madison.campusguides.com/CCCstreamingvideo. The Common Core Content Video Streaming LibGuide has additional information on the service including pdf's of their collection.
  3. Don't forget to fill out the survey at http://madison.campusguides.com/CCCstreamingvideo after you have spent time with the content. It is a short survey and will be used to make a final decision.
