Ebooks in Library Catalog

In the past two weeks 3rd graders spent time exploring the eBooks we have at Schenk. We recently added a few more including the Milwaukee Bucks, Wisconsin Badgers, and Green Bay Packers. In K-2 we read an eBook about a wolf on the projector.

All of our eBooks are multi-user which means more than one student can read the book at the same time. For example, you could have a student reading the same book on the netbooks in your classroom. Or you could project the book on the big screen screen while students read it on a netbooks. The eBooks can be read on the iPad, netbooks, or desktop computers. They can also be read from home.

Here are the directions to access the eBooks from any device.

  • Open Chrome
  • Put in the address bar.
  • Click Library Catalog  icon.
  • Find Schenk and click Catalog tab.
  • Search for "ebooks".

Teachers and 4/5 students can use their universal log on. Once you log on you will have the ability to add notes, highlights, and bookmarks. This information is saved to your district account not the eBook itself. Younger students K-2 can log on as a Guest. As a Guest they will not be able to annotate the eBook.
