I remember back in the 90's when my kids were young publisher was a thing. I guess there are still lab teachers who use Publisher, so this app looked interesting.
Lucid Press is a "design and layout app that allows anyone to create beautiful print and digital documents". The education version is free and in quite full featured.
All one has to do is make sure you are signed into Chrome with your district email address and search Lucid Press in the Chrome Store. Make sure you use you district email for single sign on and your Google Drive and Lucid Press will be integrated.
I was impressed with how well it ran and forgot for a moment it was just running in a tab. Lucid Press has most features you would expect from a Publisher like program and even incorporates video for digital only presentations.
